MeRLIN Ranked as Customer Leader in Spend Matters Solution Map fall 2022

Maastricht, Netherlands, November 2022 – MeRLIN, a leading Strategic Sourcing solution announced that MeRLIN Strategic Sourcing software has been ranked as a Customer Leader for Sourcing, Direct Sourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management and SXM categories in the latest Spend Matters Fall 2022 SolutionMap.

Known as the most rigorous, data- and intelligence-based assessment of procurement technology functionality in the industry, SolutionMap ranks solutions based on 500+ RFI requirements across 10 source-to-pay (S2P) module and suite categories highlighting the real capabilities of each vendor as we as customer feedback. Spend matters releases its SolutionMaps every 6 months to help businesses gain access to deeper data cuts and vendor intelligence to drive their procurement-technology-selection decisions.  This release of the SolutionMap ranked 74 procurement technology solutions across S2P space based on their capabilities and customer feedback.

“SolutionMap is the great equalizer between buyers and sellers of procurement technology solutions,” says Spend Matters Founder Jason Busch. “It is the only rating methodology that is fully transparent, considers equal parts technology analyst and customer scoring (individually and separately), and allows business users to create a one-to-one map based on their requirements to what technology vendors can provide based on demonstrated generally available capability.”

“No two procurement organizations are the same, and often selecting the right sourcing provider doesn’t come down to technological capability alone,” said Busch. “That’s why SolutionMap rankings are based equally on demonstrated solution capability and input from real-life customers.”

MeRLIN has been ranked as a customer leader in the Sourcing SolutionMap across SME, Mid, Large and Direct Materials personas. For SXM and Contract Lifecycle Management, it has been ranked across the three market personas – SME, Mid and Large.

We consider this recognition as a recognition of our customer focus and vision of building sourcing solutions that best fulfill their need and provides value for money. We are grateful to all valued MeRLIN customers for their support, trust and loyalty which made this possible.

Maastricht, Netherlands, August 2022 , RheinBrücke Technology announced that their Strategic Sourcing Solution MeRLIN has been listed in the 2022 Gartner® Market Guide for E-Sourcing Applications.

According to Gartner “E-sourcing applications are critical for a procurement organization to vet new sources of supply, negotiate pricing and mitigate cost increases for strategic spend categories. Application leaders can use this research to understand the market landscape and dynamics before buying.”

According to Gartner, increased demand for procurement & supply chain solutions as well as analytics platform requirements will lead to spend exceeding $31.8 billion by 2025 in the SCM space. The annual spend on procurement software will increase to $12.2 billion by 2025 at a CAGR of 16% in constant currency terms (base 2020) due to new investments to improve negotiated savings, mitigate supplier risk, and the increased need to improve compliance & sustainability and visibility.**

According to PwC Digital Procurement Survey 200 Study 2022, 72% of the DACH manufacturing companies are expected to do Procurement Digitalization by 2025.

E-sourcing applications have registered a growth of nearly 15% (in current currency terms) over the year 2021. In our opinion, these numbers are proof that the many global factors affecting supply chains in recent years have made these digital solutions more critical than ever before to procurement organizations to help manage their spend and suppliers efficiently.
Gartner® publishes its Market Guides to provide business leaders an understanding of early, mature and small markets and how the status of an emerging market aligns with plans for their businesses. MeRLIN Sourcing added to Spend Matters SolutionMap Spring 2022 Release

MeRLIN has been added to the Spring 2022 SolutionMap procurement technology benchmarking rankings.

June 2, 2022: MeRLIN Strategic Sourcing solution has been added to the Spring 2022 SolutionMap procurement technology benchmarking rankings. MeRLIN Sourcing B.V has been listed under the Sourcing, Direct Material Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management & Risk (SXM) categories.

Known as the most rigorous, data-centric functionality assessment of procurement technologies in the industry, SolutionMap contains 500+ RFI requirements across 10 source-to-pay module and suite technology categories to pinpoint the actual capabilities of each participating vendor. MeRLIN Sourcing Solutions

MeRLIN’s eSourcing solution enables strategic sourcing by managing the complete lifecycle – from identifying sourcing needs, defining sourcing strategy, inviting potential suppliers to events, requesting and collecting supplier information (RFx), managing bids, holding eAuctions, analyzing responses, and finally, awarding suppliers with a contract and managing the contracts.

MeRLIN allows procurement organizations to create and manage sourcing events of all types – RFIs, RFQs, and Auctions easily using intuitive user interface and ready-to-use configurable response templates based on industry best practices. These configurable response templates can be customized based on business needs and ensure RFx captures in-depth information from suppliers on parameters impacting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). MeRLIN’s integration with spreadsheets helps seamless data entry and bulk uploads & downloads.

The sourcing solution comes with strong features for direct material sourcing such as engineering collaboration, BOM based demands, integrations, etc.

MeRLIN Supplier Relationship Management (SXM)

The Supplier Relationship Management solution of MeRLIN allows procurement teams manage entire supplier lifecycle, supplier data, workflows, hierarchies, risk, performance and compliance – all from a single intuitive platform. It delivers all that is required to automate and streamline supplier management processes – from onboarding to ongoing management .

The Spend Matters Pro vendor analysis remarked “Despite being new, the functional coverage of the solution is impressive, especially considering its direct materials-related capabilities. Modules of the solution cover most of the source-to-contract capabilities (S2C), and when the solution does not cover every element (like supplier risk), it does take the “ecosystem” approach and integrates with point solutions. On the downstream side, the solution currently covers procure-to-receipt (P2R).”
