We are excited to announce that the version 20.0 release of MeRLIN is now live! The updates have been compiled into release notes below, providing an overview of the enhancements and fixes in our product that the users anticipated, ensuring that they are up to date with the latest developments.
New Features
Supplier Management
Supplier Information
The handling of supplier documents has been improved to better support large volumes, making it easier to view and manage documents without performance issues. (Requirement Reference: Customers – Roadmap #630)
Buyer-managed supplier contacts are now visible in the Supplier Contact List, improving access to supplier contact information.
Buyers can now download supplier data for one or multiple suppliers, including additional information, directly into an Excel file for easier review and sharing.
The supplier logo size limit has been increased, allowing clearer and better-quality logos to be uploaded.
Bank IBAN numbers are now checked based on the selected country, helping reduce data entry errors.
Supplier Data
Buyers will now receive an email notification when a supplier’s DUNS score changes, helping them stay aware of supplier performance changes and risk updates.
Vendor Masters can now control who is copied (CC) on bulk emails sent to supplier contacts, helping reduce unnecessary email traffic.
Lieferanten-Onboarding
Buyers can now include Compliance Audits as part of supplier onboarding, bringing audits into the onboarding process alongside compliance surveys.
Qualification questionnaires and templates can now be configured using rules, providing more control over supplier onboarding questionnaires.
Supplier Management
Users can now clearly see which mandatory fields are still pending, making it easier to complete supplier information correctly.
Workflow approval settings can now be customized to meet specific business needs, allowing greater flexibility in approval processes.
Supplier Portal
Plattform
Supplier users can now log in using an email-based one-time pass code, allowing access even if the password is forgotten.
Sourcing Events Management
RFI
RFI now supports Terms & Conditions selection using attachments making RFIs more consistent with RFQs.
Buyers can now create service items in RFIs without milestone details. This allows RFIs to be created for services, reducing unnecessary data entry and making the RFI creation process simpler and faster.
The Responsible Buyer for an RFI can now be changed at any time, helping ensure continuity during absences.
Buyers can now create a new RFI from an existing one, saving time when creating similar RFIs.
The RFI response page layout has been updated to improve usability for suppliers.
RFQ
Buyers can now amend an RFQ even after suppliers have submitted quotes, allowing changes when quotes are not satisfactory.
Compliance
Surveys
Survey Owners can now change the owner of a survey, ensuring surveys can be managed during absences.
Compliance Masters can now view and update the assigned Compliance Officer for any survey at any time.
Published surveys can now be cancelled, allowing incorrect or accidental surveys to be withdrawn.
Score card
Compliance scorecards can now be configured to use only the latest survey, providing a clearer and more current compliance view.
Plattform
Attachments
Administrators can now download Supplier Onboarding attachment attributes in Excel format, making it easier to review and manage attachment settings.
Active attachment types can now be edited without being deactivated, allowing quick updates without disruption.
Lieferanten
Partner-specific supplier fields can now be included in Excel uploads, making bulk supplier updates easier.
The Postal Code field can now be set as mandatory or optional, allowing better control over supplier address data.
Security Management
Roles
Role descriptions are now visible during user-role assignment, helping administrators understand the impact of each role.
